An exceptional box set

In a beautiful suitcase upholstered in lizard style and completed with blue velvet, a remarkable machine controlled by two “Herbay et Cie” rheostats. The manufacturer's brand, GD, remains enigmatic but may correspond to the Gaston Duflot workshops established in the 1930s in Saint-Quentin, Picardy, France.

The electrical assembly of this equipment is amazing and works admirably well. From gentle to very intense, certain adjustments can lead to a muscle contraction, so we will reserve its use for expert users.

A beautiful central mirror ideally composes this set which, thanks to removable compartments, contains an interesting series of electrodes.

Restored with a great care, this instrument is made of bakelite and metal. It is universally designed to operate on a voltage of 110 or 220 volts. From the United States of America, two fabulous capacitors (Illinois Capacitor/CDE) have been added and the wiring has been completely revised. The original electrical plugs are molded in bakelite, one of them is signed “L’Ébénoid”.
